Crystal Radio

Crystal radio is the common type of radio. Most of the radios one purchases use confused electronics to create a strong copy of the music. It is a simple form of radio that only lifts up the radio waves and replaces them straight into music. It does not use separate batteries or power to produce a strong copy of the music. It receives all the power just from the radio radiations.

Radio Waves

Radio radiation is unseen rays of magnetism and electricity. Every radio stations sent the radio radiations. They move from the radio station as water waves move in the pond. Radio waves traveled very fast as compared to water waves. The speed of radio waves is about 186,000 miles per second however; water waves speed is about 10 miles per hour.

Tuner

Tuner helps to separate a radio station from other radio stations. There are many radio stations and they send out radio waves that have dissimilar gap between them. A radio station at about six hundred KHz on the tuning dial sent radio radiation from gap between them at about 1200 kHz. The tuner utilizes the radio station frequency for separating radio stations.

Antenna Wire

Antenna wire of radio lifts up the radio rays current. Crystal radio requires a lengthy antenna wire. A long antenna wire lifts up excess radio radiation current. An antenna wire is any current wire that is useful to go from the radio in the air. The perfect length of current wire is about 80 feet. It does better high up. Keep in mind, do not place antenna wire near power lines, as it is very dangerous and never work well.

Radio Wave Electricity

Radio wave electricity is the current that radio rays produce in the antenna wire. Radio radiations beat the antenna as ocean waves beat the shoreline. Ocean waves create water run up and is backed with every wave. Radio waves create current flow up and down in the wire of antenna.

KHz

KHz stands for Kilohertz. KHz is the figures one sees on the radio-tuning dial. This is the method to separate different radio stations. Before 1920 when the radio initially begun, tuning dial figures has offered the distance between radio waves.

Electronic engineers called this distance as wavelength. There are numbers of waves in every second crossing the antenna of radio. Presently, AM broadcast band contains the frequencies from 535 kHz to 1610 kHz.
