BBC Radio
BBC stands for British Broadcasting Corporation. Since 1927, BBC has been operated as a service, which is known as BBC Radio under the conditions of a Royal Charter in the United States.
National Domestic Radio Stations
At present, BBC is running about 10 national domestic radio stations. Four national domestic radio stations come in a format of digital through Digital Audio Broadcasting.

Regional
BBC is also running regional radio stations in the United Kingdom such as BBC Radio Devon and BBC Radio Wales. These regional radio stations are paying attention on only regional matters to the largest coverage as compared to the national counterpart. History of BBC Radio
In 1922, the BBC radio services were started with BBC Ltd., which has licensed to offer a radio service for the people. The British Government licensed it by General Post Office. Presently, radio broadcasting produces the largest section of the output of corporation.
New BBC networks
BBC Radio 1 was started like a pop music station on 30 September 1967. BBC Light Programme was changed into Radio 2 and it broadcasts light and jazz entertainment, easy to listening music and folk.
